Disclaimer to hunters: In case you are a hunter hoping you found the perfect hunting ground ("a million bucks", get it?) --sorry, fat chance! But stick around and you will get a chance to give a buck!
We have all received emails about a sick or dying kid somewhere who wants you to send them an email or a card or something. (There was even at least one movie made about this subject). We all have probably also received emails telling us that somewhere a class has a project going, and that we are supposed to help by sending them something. But we usually do not know how well it worked, or if it worked at all. We never hear if anyone ever sent anything at all to the person, or if this is even true! This website is different--you can keep up-to-date on the progress of building a million bucks and you can be a part of this project by giving 1 dollar, and by checking back here often. You can donate $1, and you can tell others about it! Email your family, friends and others. Call people, write to them--whatever.
Note that this is NOT a pyramid scheme. Since you are giving $1 to the project, and will not receive any money back, this is completely legal! There is no intention of "ripping anyone off", since all you are doing is giving one dollar to the project, and expecting nothing in return. See FAQ #8 for more info.
How fast can 1 dollar become 100, then 1,000 then 10,000?
The object of this website is to see how fast things travel on the Internet. Your job is to give just one buck ($1) and to tell others about this project so they can donate to the cause also.
The idea is that if 2 people each tell 2 others, then that is 4 more; and if they tell more people, and they tell more people, etc., then the news should start to multiply quickly. Of course, you should tell more than 2 people about it, since not everyone will donate (party poopers)!
By going to the diary, you will see how this works. You can keep an eye on the progress of this project by checking back here often. Be sure to check out the other areas of the website, as they will change and grow also.
If this works out as hoped, there may even be a contest or some other fun things to look forward to! "So put on your dancing shoes and donate a buck or twos" (I had to make it rhyme!). Then Force others to do the same! (For instance, say: "I will go out with you if you donate the buck to the cause", or maybe, "I will go out with you unless you donate a buck to the AMillionBucks.net website!")
